Coconut biodiesel is the liquid fuel consisting of methyl ester processed and refined from the raw natural oil from the coconut flesh. It can be used alone or blended with conventional petrodiesel in unmodified diesel engines for powering vehicles and jet planes.
Copra meal cake is the by-product dried from the residual kernel, or flesh, of the coconut. It is high in fat and protein and is commonly sold as animal fodder when mixed with other feed ingredients.
The coconut shell provides material for activated carbon bio-cokes, or activated carbon. Activated carbon has a very large surface area and high micro-porosity, making it suitable for a range of environmental and industrial applications, including water filtration, air purification, groundwater remediation, and sewage treatment.
